Generally, the server is only brought down for maintenance for these situations:
Every morning at 10:00 am EST for the daily server restart, which lasts approximately 10 minutes.
Every forced wipe day at around 2:00 pm EST, which lasts approximately 3-7 hours depending on how many plugin updates there are, how many features we are adding or changing, and how disruptive the Facepunch changes are.
Every map wipe day at around 2:00 pm EST, which lasts approximately 2-4 hours depending on how many plugin updates there are and how many features we are adding.
When we migrate the server to a new host or service, which is usually done during wipe to reduce downtime.
Announcements will be posted in the Discord #announcements channel if there is any downtime outside of these reasons. You can also check the #server-alerts channel for automated posts about outages.
